Platelet rich plasma treatments use your body’s own cells, called platelets, to stimulate the skins stem cells to increase production of collagen, elastin, and blood vessels, in turn providing a refreshed rejuvenated looking skin, and helps reverse the signs of ageing.

After a discussion of your concerns and a full skin and facial assessment performed by your Coastal Goddess practitioner, a treatment plan will be tailored to meet your needs. Pre-treatment photos will be taken, and consent obtained.
Platelet rich plasma treatment can be uncomfortable. There are several options for pain management during treatment, including local anaesthetic, topical numbing cream, ice, or Entonox gas.
The appointment takes 45 mins -1 hr. Blood is taken from your arm, by our Coastal Goddess doctor, similar to a standard blood test. This blood is then processed in a centrifuge, to separate the different components of your blood. Platelets and plasma are extracted and injected into the deeper layers of your skin.
3 treatments required for best results, 1 month apart, but can have effects lasting up to 18 months.
Platelet rich plasma is a gradual treatment, so results won’t be evident immediately, as with other aesthetic treatments such as dermal fillers.
With any medical procedure there are always risks and contra-indications. These will be discussed with your doctor prior to treatment. However, as Platelet rich plasma is autologous, using your own blood cells, potential side effects are greatly reduced.
