Women's Intimate Health

What is Petit Lady?

Petit Lady uses a non-invasive laser to improve vaginal health and is only offered by Coastal Goddess on the Central Coast. It offers the most up to date technology, with the lowest side effect profile.

As a result of the normal ageing process, menopause, pregnancy, childbirth or hormonal changes, tissues in the vaginal region become weakened, lose tone and are more relaxed. Although we want our muscles in our foreheads to be “relaxed” to avoid wrinkles, you don’t necessarily want that weakness and relaxation in the vaginal region. As well as vaginal laxity, as we age, due to reduction in collagen and oestrogen the vagina atrophies, causing dryness, itchiness, painful intercourse and mild urinary leakage.

The consequences of these vaginal changes can have a detrimental impact on a woman’s life, both physically, psychologically and sexually. Our Petit Lady laser can empower women to take control and restore their intimacy!

What is involved in the treatment?

Initial Consultation

After a full consultation, including discussion of symptoms and concerns, medical history and vaginal examination with your Coastal Goddess physician, a treatment plan will be tailored to meet your needs. The first treatment can be given on the same day, or another appointment can be made. We do ask that all patients have an up to date cervical screening test prior to appointment. This can be performed by your GP or gynaecologist.

The Treatment

A sterile probe is inserted into the vagina. This is well lubricated, however if you have severe vaginal dryness insertion may be slightly uncomfortable. During the procedure, you will feel a gentle vibration, but no pain.

The procedure, which is similar to a transvaginal ultrasound, takes 15-20 minutes, with minimal discomfort and no down time. You can have your appointment in your lunch break and head straight back to work if you need to!

The procedure is performed in a pleasant, calm and safe space by a female physician.

Initially 3 treatments are required, 4 weeks apart, with optimal results evident after the third treatment, however you may notice improvement sooner. Results can last 12-18 months, however yearly maintenance is recommended.
